Creative Mind Design wasn’t born from a lifelong dream I spent pursuing. Rather, it came from a collection of experiences, influences, jobs, and hard life lessons. My creativity has taken many forms and gone through many phases. However, when I was immersed in the world of staging and home design, a joy sparked inside me. I knew; this is what I should be doing. One of my favorite parts of finishing a project is seeing that same joy on my clients’ faces.

My parents really helped hone my creative spirit. My mom was always changing the surroundings of our home, whether it was repainting rooms or rearranging furniture. She made mosaics for the garden and handmade quilts for the rooms. My dad had a love for antiques that he shared with me and my mom. He eventually opened a vintage lamp shop where he sold an impressive collection of antique furniture and lamps that he had curated throughout the years. Growing up with them, I developed a keen eye for the unique and uncommon.

At Texas State University I majored in Mass Communication with a minor in Art Design. This is where I learned about color theory, mixing textures, contrast, and other design elements. I believe it’s where I elevated my creative mind into a more focused design foundation. But it wasn’t until I worked for three years with a local builder and interior designer that I was able to really experience first-hand the world of real estate development and home building. We built spec homes from the ground up, and I assisted in making design selections, met with different trades and vendors, and then ultimately helped stage them to sell.

At Creative Mind Design, we specialize in providing beautifully and thoughtfully designed spaces. We work with residential and commercial properties. Everyone! Though my experience is largely with builders, I also love working with personal clients on their renovations.

I believe that all of these years of experience have given me the knowledge to be able to successfully work with any client. I pride myself on going out of my way to ensure my clients’ satisfaction with my work. I also believe that homes do sell faster and at a higher profit when they are staged thoughtfully.

I’ll always strive to use my knowledge to answer your questions and make this experience as easy and fun as it should be. My goal will always be to ensure a quality space and your satisfaction. At CMD we believe in: Creative and unique designs: I am Texas born and raised but I’ve traveled to many places. I like to incorporate many colors and cultures into my work. But I’m ultimately going to use my experience and taste to fulfill your vision. Flexible design flow: I have my own perspectives and vision, but this is your home! This is a collaboration. I work for you and we’ll work together for the same end goal. A thoughtful perspective: I pride myself on caring about every detail, whether it’s the aroma of a home that I’ve staged when someone walks in or the design details I want featured in any given space. A hard worker: I have connections with many trades in building but I am also not afraid to get dirty for my clients! I’ll work harder than anyone to make sure your space is coming together the way you want.
